This has To Be The Best Web Hosting Ever

This has To Be The Best Web Hosting Ever web hosting This has To Be The Best Web Hosting Ever

I stumbled across this Bounceweb’s website through one of my advertisers and absolutely had to share it with you guys in a post. I have never come across a better web hosting company. I have to call them back tomorrow  to find out how close they can come to offering me something close to a dedicated server because I would really like to switch my web hosting company to them.

Why do I believe they are great, well let me give you a few examples:

1) they keep up with the latest platforms such as Magento. Do you know how many companies support Magento’s platform on a shared server, ZILCH. They were the first company I have ever come across that actually supported Magento. That is awesome and goes to show that they have some pretty decent servers running because even with the dedicated server that we run off of, this is a hard feat.

2) They give you unlimited everything (databases, emails, etc.), including unlimited domains. If you want that from Godaddy you will be paying $15.00 per month, which leads me to point 3.

3) you only pay $6.67 per month and that is a lifetime guarantee that your rate will never change. Also when I talked to the rep today they gave me a coupon code for 10% off and said that I can mention it on my blog so that my readers can take advantage of it. This brings it down to $6.00 per month. Take that Godaddy! The coupon code is: std10

4) They give you access to cpanel which is pretty much standard these days with some hosting companies but some bigger, older companies still don’t offer this unless you have a dedicated server. To offer it in a shared environment shows me that they are trending in the right direction and keeping up with the new school pace.

Compared side by side with Godaddy which is one of the leading hosting companies in the world heres how it stands up:

Also one of the main things that got me writing about Bounceweb is the fact that they are powered by green energy and it isn’t just buying  some carbon offsets either. Here is what they have to say:

Green Web Hosting Made To Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Web Hosting must be more socially responsible by improving server energy efficiency which we have done by switching all of our servers hardware to use 43% less electricity. We provide the best green wind powered web hosting in the world to keep the world beautiful.

Carbon Neutral With Wind Powered Web Hosting

Carbon neutral means we do not emit any carbon emissions that cause global warming that we do not clean up. Our wind powered webhosting has been revised to be completely carbon neutral.

Renewable Energy Credits

A renewable energy credit or REC (http://www.epa.gov/greenpower/gpmarket/rec.htm) is what we purchase to offset our carbon footprint, we have partnered with the leading REC provider 3Degrees as they enables businesses and individuals to fund clean energy and carbon reduction projects through the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates and Verified Emission Reductions.

Yes I know that the Renewable energy credits are carbon offsets but check out the first spec. The fact that they use windpower is awesome. Anyone who knows me knows that I respect any company who is trying to save our environment.

Again here is their info:

What do you think about this hosting company? Is anyone out there already using them? If so what is your experience like?

All comments will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

  9. There is no way that a dedicated server that can hold unlimited domains, diskspace, and bandwidth costs $10/month. There has to be a catch.

Also, what is Magento? Operating system? Web Server?

  10. ontheroad says:

Magento is another great CMS like drupal and joomla.
The only thing magento has over the other two is you can run multiple sites off a single database. Other than that, I prefer Drupal & Joomla over Magento.

Now, with the company being the first to support Magento? Not sure how accurate that is since all you need is a linux system to run Magento. When it first came out I was able to use it on GoDaddy and my shared dedicated server.

I like the data you put out on the company, but not so sure how they are able to offer such great deals at a low price. I have heard of them before but stuck to my shared dedicated server instead.

Keep me updated if you switch over to them. Give it a couple months and do an update review on them. Very interesting. Do they offer windows based servers and linux based server? How is their cpanel?
Do they give you full ftp access?

Again, thanks for the great information as always!

    • You are right with the first versions of magento You were able to run them on Godaddy but with the new versions of Magento you are not able to run them on a shared server because the tables in the database are not laid out in Isam they are laid out in InnoDB. godaddy nor lunarpages lets you run databases with InnoDB tables. In order to use InnoDBB tables you need to have a dedicated server.

Also right now I am not sure if they offer windows based servers nor am I sure about Cpanel. I do however have to give them a call today in order to ask them some questions and I will update my readers after that call.

About the FTP Access, they offer unlimited FTP accounts :)

I am not sure what you meant by FULL FTP access though. Are we talking about root access to the server or just FTP access so that you can upload your site? If so, I doubt they give you full access to the server being as though it’s shared but I do know that you can upload your site just as you do with GoDaddy.

Why would Magento do such a thing to an open source CMS? They are shooting themselves in the foot for changing things. I’m going to test the new magento out. If this is true to what you said, I must say Magento are idiots. Yes it might make their platform better, but now it hurts their users.

Thanks for the update with Magento, even though I’m not a big fan of them. I’m still a big fan of Drupal and Joomla.

  12. Plenty of other companies offer unlimited deals for similar prices. Admittedly this is the cheapest price I have found for the value so far but Godaddy isn’t that much more expensive and they offer the same thing. So yes there is companies who offer unlimited everything :)
To answer your question Magento is a very powerful E-commerce platform. It competes with E-commerce platforms such as oscommerce and creloaded. But in my opinion I think it is a lot better :)

    • Ok – let’s get on the same page because I am paying a couple hundred for a resell able dedicated server.

It is Red Hat Linux, updated fully, with all the spam and hacking protection possible. So if someone wants to spam a contact form mailer on one of my sites, they can’t thanks the software on the server.

It also comes with Plesk 30-domain pack. That means I can host 30 domains, and as many subdomains under each domain. The disk space is limited to 240GB – and the bandwidth is unlimited.

If I can get a plesk 30-pack with all the spam/hack protection and continual updates of all software for less than $200/month, somebody let me know! Oh yeah, on top of that I get the support of a server pro, so anytime I or a client needs DNS help, got that guy as my backup… Am I crazy (paying too much) or am I getting my value?

      Thanks boys.

      • Sounds like a fair deal. Hey just for kicks go check out Iweb.com I believe they have some really good deals over their. Here is a link to their page

For $199 they here is what you get:

        CPU : Core2 Quad 2.4Ghz
        RAM : 2GB
        HARD DRIVE : 2 x 500GB
        TRAFFIC : 2,000GB

I know that it is limited on bandwidth but to be quite honest, unless your running a site that is resource heavy, chances are your not gonna use 2 terabytes of bandwidth. They also give you upgrade options so that you can upgrade your bandwidth. Check it out, tell me what you think.
