This would be a good idea if it is within your reach. A lot of people use CMS’s and do not have a lot of programming experience so it can be a very daunting process. If that is the case then don’t even bother giving yourself that headache and possibly breaking your website. But if you have the programmers I say go for it, just remember to 301 all of your old pages to your new ones.
