I had a lot of shopping to do this weekend, beside having to go shopping on black friday (a must for me) I had a ton of other stuff to do. One of the computer monitors went up at the office so I had to buy one of them and I had to get my dad his Christmas present a little early in order to get a good deal on it (what I am getting him is a little hard to go shopping for at the last minute, you have to shop around), I am not gonna say what it is being as though my dad frequents this blog quite often.
But let me get to the point, while I was surfing around the internet looking for the stuff that I needed I thought to myself that it would be a good idea to start a “HOT DEALS” section on this blog so whenever I come across something that I see a deal on, I can inform all of my readers about it. I have seen quite a few other blogs and news sites that do that and since I am a consistent shopper always looking for new stuff I don’t think that it would be a bad idea.
My question to my readers is do you guys think it is worth it?

Loading ...I do not feel that it would be a killer waste of time because I would only do this when I find deals that catch my eye. It wouldn’t be like i am going out of my way to find deals. The last thing I want to do is turn this into some bargain hunting site 
I just thought it would be a good way to keep my reader informed. Again I ask what do you guys think? Please leave me feedback in the comments section so I know whether or not to go through with this idea or not I personally think it will be kinda fun, but I dont wanna waste any of my time nor my readers time if the page is never gonna get visited.

Up to you however i reckon shopping ads only do well on shopping related blogs.
I am not looking to do shopping ads per say. I am really just trying to add a list of shopping site, not necessarily “shopping”. More like computers, hosting and tech stuff. I don’t really go shopping for other stuff being as though I am a geek
But I am also not really thinking about “ADS” maybe more of just a help section. I don’t really know if I am trying to make money off of it. Even though I have seen blogs such as johnchow.com and shoemoney who do quite well selling tech related stuff.
What do you think?
I guess, there is nothing wrong about it. It is an experience that you relate to your readers. If some are not interested with shopping stuffs like that, there could be some who would be, so why not? Anyway, it will just be a part of your blog and not the entirety of it…

I think it is a great idea and you should go for it. I’m one of those people that likes to know what the going rate is on a given item even if I’m not going to buy it, so it would be nice to see some deals mentioned here.

If you plan on keeping it to the Electronics for deals, that probably won’t be that bad. Not sure if it will help at all, but giving something extra to your readers is always nice. I’m sure many of them will be happy and help spread your blog out there. But you said you like to shop a lot online. I’m sure you already do this, but don’t forget to goto the coupon sites. Get an extra discount/deal. I tend to goto fatwallet. If you can’t find something under the store(s) names, then goto the forum and you’ll almost find anything you’re looking for. People post in there literally ever second of the day.
ps. You should create a GoogleWave Room so you and your readers can get together.
