Hey guys sorry it’s been a couple days since I had a chance to write a post but I have been very busy working on a couple of new projects. I have however put together a good post for everyone. Today I am gonna talk about how you can get more people to comment on your blog. This is a great topic to talk about being as though it is one of the most troubling issues in the blogging community. So I am going to give you guys some of the ways I get more people commenting on my posts and I am also gonna share a couple of great links with everyone to some other blog posts that I have found very useful in getting more people to comment on my blog.
1) A very useful tool to get more blog comments is the top commentators plugin for wordpress. This is a great plugin to give people incentive to comment on your blog. What the plugin does is place a widget on the sidebar of your site that gives your top commentators a do-follow link back to their website. This is a very encouraging tool for anyone visiting your site to drop you a comment. You can download the plugin at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/top-commentators-widget/
2) Make sure to ask your readers questions and ask for their opinions on certain subjects. It is always good for you, as the blogger to get the conversation started. When you ask for feedback people are more likely to give it to you than if you dont.
3) Always talk back to your readers. You will notice that even the grade A bloggers talk back to some of their readers. Readers do not want to leave comments not to have them answered or responded to. If your blog isn’t that busy try to get back to all of your readers, if it is a busy blog make sure to respond to as many comments as possible.
4) Try your best to always be as polite and as kind as possible to all of your readers. Sometimes you might not see eye to eye with all of the comments that are left on your blog but handle everything in a kind, professional manner. One thing that I hate is bloggers that flame their readers. They are blogs that I wouldn’t be caught dead leaving a comment on.
5) Look for friends in the blogging community and make sure to comment on their blogs. When you comment on their blog chances are they will come back and comment on yours. This has worked for me many times in the past.

Unfortunately there is no cure all overnight, get a 1000 comments tomorrow solution. It takes hard work and dedication. While these tips will help, the key word here is HELP. You must put in the footwork in order to get a reader base. It takes time so don’t be discouraged if you don’t have a bunch of people commenting yet, just keep working at it and eventually people will start to comment on your blog.

I have found that all these tips work well another tip would be to always remain positive.
Thats very true Ms. Freeman, you do need to remain positive, I would also add that you have to have patience, because after all Rome wasn’t built in one night, and because you implemented some new features, doesn’t mean the readers/commenters will come over night, but eventually they will come, just gotta have the patience to know and foresee that in the future you will get what it is you want

heres one… tho its a bit controversial… make your blog dofollow. sure you’ll get 90% spam but then again you will get some genuine feedback.
i think my blog suffers from a lack of decent design, something i plan to remedy in April when i change hosts and get more mySQL databases
