One Good Way To Throw Money Away is Through BrandVerity

First things first. I have no grudge against BrandVerity. I am not trying to bash them nor am I trying to turn people away from them. But you have to be kidding me if you are telling me that I am going to pay 300 per month in order to have brandverity check the first page of Google yahoo and MSN for 10 keywords that I think would infringe on my trademarks. I mean god is this stupid or what, how long does this take to do manually, 10 minutes? How long does this take for a programmer to write a script for this, 20 minutes? As a matter of fact, aren’t there already scripts out their that will check the search engines for you to see what keywords people are bidding on?

Their client list is also so impressive with clients such as Godaddy, Netflix and Snapfish. Well I guess we all need a way to write our taxes off.

How Search Engines Are Evolving Into a Ball of Crap

First and foremost this is not a hate article on search engine, it is just some facts that I have put together in order to show people why search engines are evolving in the wrong direction and shamelessly promote a new search engine that is under development by my team and I along with the developers from DeeperCalling Media.

In the past few years I have noticed how search engines have evolved into something completely different for users. Back in the late 90s up until around 2005 search engines were used for just what they were made for, “SEARCH”. But with new technology comes new direction, unfortunately directions that we take are not always good ones. The wheels of time are turning and we are looking at the downfall of our biggest search engine to date “Google”.

Why do I say this? Well lets take a look into the past, because if we don’t look at the past it is doomed to repeat itself. Which is exactly what it is going to do. The motions have already been set and the ball has already started to roll for a search engine that will destroy Google on every level.

Okay, so looking back in time, one of the main reasons that Google destroyed Yahoo! was that Google had a better search, was faster, sleeker and it had more to offer. There also was another underlying reason that many people didn’t notice, not even Yahoo! themselves. Yahoo! stopped paying attention to Search. They were going in too many directions at that point and not focusing on what was important “SEARCH”, thus it was very easy for Google to crush them.

Now lets fast forward in time a little bit to 2009. A search engine was launched that was supposed to be known as the Google Killer, that search engines official name was Cuil. With just a bit of advertising Cuil made it into the Alexa top 100 within 2 days.

Why did this happen? partially because people were curious and partially because people wanted to see if it could out perform Google in it’s SEARCH. Unfortunately Cuil did not do that and became the laughing stock of 2009. But while everyone else was laughing there were few who were plotting. They watched Cuil’s mistakes and seen how they could capitalize on where Cuil went wrong. One of those few people were myself.

So for some time now a team and I have been working on a search engine that would blow away anything Google had to offer along with completely annihilating them in the most important thing to all users, which is SEARCH.

So while our search engine is still under development, we will be launching on November 4th 2010. This search engine will pick up in all the places that other search engines fail. I will not go into details yet but in a short period of time I will give select few access to the working Beta so that they may see how much more efficient it is than other search engines :) BTW we already have a very cool domain name reserved Darect.US

Google To Own Analytics

MY god, has Google gone completely mad with power or what. Now they want ot be the only ones to be able to show you your search results from Google. I read the original story here: Say Goodbye to Search Analytics. But to sum it up google is making it so that a webmaster cannot see what a surfer is hitting their site for whenever they hit the site from Google.

So lets look at some of the scenarios on what is wrong with this:

1) if Google does this (and includes Google analytics in this equation) then how will I know what keywords are profitable for me on Adwords. I would be blind to the fact of what searchers are making me money and which ones are not.

2) If Google does show keywords in analytics then where does that leave all the other web analytics programs. Can you say monopoly.

Now with this being said lets look at some of the reasons why Google would do this:

1) they want to keep THEIR data private (Yeah Right).

2) They want every webmaster to turn to them for search analytic (This is probably the better of the 2 theories).

Now ask yourself why would they want complete market share over a product they give away for FREE.

1) they are gonna charge for it (That would be a smart move but again very unlikely).

2) They wanna know every thing that is going on, on every single website in the world. Google will have complete knowledge of every websites moves and actions.

Now Google originally brought all this up because they say they want to protect your privacy. That is very true, they do wanna protect your privacy from everyone but Google.

This has to be one of the most underhanded and deceitful things that Google has ever done. I once had great respect for Google but slowly that respect dwindles with every underhanded and sneaky little thing they do. So in closing please take a stand against this abomination and abuse of power. Retweet this post, blog about this, do everything in your power to save these small anaytic companies who have spent years developing software, but most of all save yourself from being under the tyranny of Google.

The Release Of The “Universal Coupon”

Behind the scenes for the past 2 months some of the biggest names in ecommerce have been working on a merger to release one coupon that rules all. This is to be called one of the biggest ecommerce mergers of our time, with all of the big name brands participating.
What exactly will this coupon do you ask? Well it’s not your average cheesy get a free toy coupon. Each store that has signed into the merger has based the coupon on giving the customer at least a 10% discount as to make it fair trade for all of the retailers. There are also stores giving away bonus combos on the coupon e.g. 5% off and free shipping.
The one cool thing about the coupon is that it’s life span will remain intact for the entire life of the signed agreement.
Behind the scenes a lot of critics have been saying that this is just an attempt at more sales in a struggling and dying economy. But retailers hold strong that sales have remained consistent and have even been on an up rise since the beginning of the year.
The big question is how long it will be before every one of these retailers are either signing off of the agreement or trying their hardest to use the Universal Coupon as a marketing ploy and cut their competition out. Well, as they say only time can tell.
Just In Case You Were Wondering You Can Find The Universal Coupon Here.

I’m sorry to All My Fans. But Please Don’t Threaten To Beat Me Up.

As of late I have been very busy working on a new project by Graphic SEO called OfferCode.Biz. It seems like between the project and our clients I had no time at all to write a blog post. I have literally been putting in 18+ hour days in order to get EVERYTHING done (Thank you Makeda, Adam and Tavon for the help. BTW they are my work colleagues). So first and foremost I would like to apologize to all of my loyal fans for the lack of any type of communication. You all have given me so much support and I wish I had an looser schedule so that I can write more but unfortunately I do not. I have however carved out 2 hours every week starting this week so that I may write 2-3 blog posts and scatter them in throughout the week in order to keep the blog somewhat still breathing.

Now while I am on that note let me tell the person who wrote me that 700 word comment (that I didnt post because of all the nastiness and vulgarity). Please do not threaten to come down here to beat me up for not writing. I post tutorials on my time, I do not get paid for doing this and this blog makes pennies a day (literally) off of adverts. I do this because I like to write. I am not obligated to write nor do I get any kind of compensation. I am not intimidated by your little threats now will that get me writing again. What that will do is get your IP banned from my server so that the little bit that I have been coming out with, you will not see. Also I very much doubt that you will have a fighting chance in hell winning a fight on my territory.

For all my fans who don’t know what that last paragraph was about. To make a long story short some idiot wrote me a threatening comment saying that he was going to hit me with a sledgehammer and beat me up if I didn’t start writing more often. Well needless to say I found it more comical than scary, but if he would like to take a crack at it my address is pretty much out all over the net.

Again loyal fans I am sorry for the lack of writing but I will be writing again within the next week.

Thank you for your patience.
